The science behind it
How hyperbaric oxygen therapy works
The principle is simple, and medicine has used it for decades: at higher pressure, the body absorbs more oxygen and carries it exactly to the tissues that need it.
Pressure rises
Inside the chamber, pressure rises above atmospheric level. The lungs receive concentrated oxygen, at a pressure impossible to reach under normal conditions.
Oxygen enters the plasma
Pressure dissolves extra oxygen directly into the blood plasma. It also reaches tissues with reduced circulation, where haemoglobin alone cannot penetrate efficiently.
The body regenerates
The extra oxygen stimulates the formation of new blood vessels, supports stem cell production and speeds up the body's natural repair processes.
No cylinders, no consumables
Where does the oxygen come from? From the air.
The chamber is never refilled or supplied with anything. The generator that comes with it makes concentrated oxygen on the spot, from the room air, for as long as it is plugged in. Here is exactly how:
Air comes in
The oil-free compressor draws ordinary air from the room. The air we all breathe is roughly 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen.
Nitrogen stays in the sieve
Under pressure, the air passes through a zeolite molecular sieve, a material that holds back nitrogen and lets oxygen through.
Oxygen reaches you
What leaves the sieve is oxygen concentrated to 93%±3%, delivered inside the cabin through a mask, nasal cannula or headset, your choice.
The sieve cleans itself
Two columns work in turns: while one filters, the other releases the trapped nitrogen and regenerates. The technology is called PSA and runs for years without intervention.
